About Jerry Strayve

J.R. Strayve, Jr. was born to a nomadic military family, attending nine schools before entering college. Following service in the United States Marine Corps, he raised a family. It is here that he discovered his talent for “spinning tales,” regaling his young children with spontaneous bedtime stories. His passion for history spoke to him. He spoke back and wrote the epic alternative historical series, Braxton’s Century. Braxton’s Century volumes 1 & 2 are available. Volume 3 is soon to follow.

POTUS DOWN is the standalone sequel to his best seller, First Spouse of The United States. Beyond that he is weaving together a follow on series to the Braxton’s Century series, another trilogy, Millennial Moguls Unhinged.

A short story, The Lieutenant & The Vintner and a novella, Vainglorious, are also available. Oh, and yeah, keep an eye out for a new short story, Covid Lockdown Revelation!

Important Truth About Me #1
Early on, I set out to experience as much as I could. I ventured into the realms of travel, athletics, aesthetics, personal connections, hobbies, education, and countless other endeavors. Through moments both breathtaking and challenging, I discovered that within life’s kaleidoscope lies a tapestry of hope, inspiring me to continue exploring, growing, and embracing possibilities that lie ahead.
Important Truth About Me #2
Driven by an insatiable curiosity about the depths of the human psyche, I embarked on a quest to uncover the hidden treasures concealed within the souls of those with whom I am fortunate enough to cross paths. Invariably, people are drawn to confide in me, peeling back the intricate layers that compose their motivations, life experiences, and an endless tapestry of captivating stories. Immersed in their narratives, I become enraptured, viscerally traversing the vivid landscape they reveal alongside their diverse and enthralling journeys.

This is how the story begins…

I have been laying the groundwork for writing all my life, starting with daydreaming during class, to creating my own dystopias based on personal, current and historical events. Yes, history, my favorite. But all this was done inside my head. I never wrote anything down. Until one day, an accident literally forced me to slow down. That is when it hit me, it was time to start memorializing these stories before they vanished into forgotten memories. I got to work and in a course of four months, I wrote 150,000 words. That was six novels, two non-fiction books, two short stories, and a novella ago. It ain’t over yet!
